Time magazine names Donald Trump ‘Person of the Year’ again

Person of the Year 2024 : Donald Trump has been named Time magazine’s Person of the Year for the second time, highlighting his significant impact on global events. The announcement was made as he rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange, expressing gratitude for the honor and reflecting on his previous term despite challenges. He noted that the media seems to be more favorable towards him now, although he remains critical of it.

Donald Trump won this recognition over several prominent figures, including Vice-President Kamala Harris and billionaire Elon Musk, emphasizing the title’s role in marking people who shape global narratives. Historically, most U. S. presidents have received the title at least once, making it a notable honor.

In an interview, Trump shared plans for his presidency, including pardoning many individuals involved in the Capitol riots. He believes this action could start quickly after his inauguration. He also discussed the war in Ukraine, stating it is a complex issue and criticized the recent U. S. actions in escalating the conflict. Trump expressed a desire to use U. S. support for Ukraine as a bargaining tool to reach a resolution.

Additionally, he indicated he would focus on reducing grocery prices to address inflation, showing his commitment to economic issues.
